Physical Properties
Physical properties are properties other than mechanical properties that depend on the physics of the material. These include:
Density
![Picture](/uploads/1/1/1/3/11139306/912705051.jpg)
This is how heavy something is, in relation to its volume. If something is dense, it is heavy while being small;
something less dense might be bigger but yet lighter. Some items need to be small and dense, eg a fishing weight (Lead is dense). Other products might need to be big yet light, eg an aircraft wing (Aluminium is not dense). Sometimes we use the term strength to weight ratio which includes the material strength as well as its density.

Thermal conductivity

This is where a product or component might require good thermal conductivity (eg conduct heat) like a radiator in a house or a car. Some products or components might need low thermal conductivity (doesnt conduct heat) eg?????
Electrical conductivity

Fusibility

This is purely down to the manufacturing property of being able to 'fuse' or melt something together and has nothing to do with the property of the material once made.
Physical properties task:
Copy the following table and explain what physical property
has been important in the decision making for the material used and say why.
